Orange Lions Club

District 201N4 New South Wales Australia

Orange Lions Club started in September 1958 to provide support and assistance with the aim of improving the community of Orange for its residents.

Orange Lions Club has been successful in that they have been able to increase their donations with every passing year.

In 2012 Orange Lions Club raised approximately $38,000.00. Which was distributed to local recipients  Orange Health Service - Childrens Ward - Ronald McDonald House -All Local High Schools- Cancer Care West - to name just a few.

International donations - Lions Eye Health Programme- Lions Drug Awareness Programme- Lions Prostate Cancer Research.

We raise funds through gate collections at events, barbeques, Lions Christmas Cakes, our Christmas Raffle.  We also have an entry in the Camp Quality Tractor Trek along with providing workers to help run the event.

That is our last years participants proudly standing in front of our Pink Tractor entry.

Our members also contribute their time to other community projects such as Meals on wheels, Driver Reviver, Red Shield appeal, Talking Newspapers-for the visually impaired, collection of spectacles for recycling and National Tree planting day.

Orange Lions Club is proud of conducting the Youth of the Year Quest and providing the opportunity for students in our district. This quest provides such a wonderful opportunity for our youth to expand their outlook on life and the world around them.

Our members also like to try and fit in some ‘just social’ events or make events more social.
We draw our Christmas raffle at a Barbie. When members travel to larger Lions Club events such as the convention some go in their vans and meet up with other clubs.

Meetings start with a meet 'n' greet followed by dinner to add a social element.

So you can see Orange Lions Club is not just about fundraising, as important as that is. It is also about friendship and fellowship. Building connections with others for a stronger community!
So connect with us, help others and become a friend!

Be a part of the change. Join the Orange Lions Club.
